The Doux launches Block Party

A celebration of a distinctively Brooklyn collection in a distinctively Brooklyn space.

In November of 2025, The Doux brought together friends and creatives from across New York City to launch their newest haircare collection, Block Party. CEO Maya Smith said that Bar Blondeau’s “central location and ease of access from across the city” as well as “the exceptional skyline views,” made Wythe the obvious choice for The Doux’s event.

Planning with Purpose

The Doux’s team conducted an extensive borough-wide search before discovering their ideal venue in Bar Blondeau. From early walk-throughs to meetings, both virtual and in-person, Wythe’s Events Team worked intently with The Doux to plan their perfect celebration. What was originally a launch dinner quickly evolved and expanded into drinks, a presentation, dinner, and dancing, all of which took place throughout the hotel’s many unique events spaces.

Execution and Atmosphere

The Doux’s launch party began with a presentation in The Screening Room, and specialty cocktails in The Speakeasy Bar. Guests were then invited up to Bar Blondeau for dinner. Panoramic views of Manhattan’s illuminated skyscrapers paired exceptionally with the iridescent packaging and decor of Block Party. Wythe’s culinary team prepared a celebratory dinner of Le Crocodile classics, including Roast Chicken and Frites, Waldorf Salad, passed desserts, and custom Whiskey Sour Twists, with fresh ginger syrup.

Results and Reflections

Smith expressed that, “Wythe’s Events Team was outstanding from start to finish. The team’s responsiveness, flexibility, and attention to detail gave us confidence at every stage and helped ensure the event ran smoothly and efficiently.” She continued, “Guest feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Attendees moved comfortably between the different spaces and consistently praised both the food and the atmosphere.
