Marlow & Daughters
95 broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11211
Marlow & Daughters sits on Broadway, a short distance away from the Williamsburg institution, Diner. They are a whole animal butcher, which means that they are buying in whole animals directly from local farms and butchering them in-house. General Manager and Head Butcher, Yoko Koide, just celebrated her tenth year at Marlow & Daughters, and is informative as she is genuine and kind. The dream butcher to approach with any meat-related inquiry, she explains that everything is sourced with immense thought; procuring the best produce, meat, dairy, bread, and dry goods.
The shop stock products like 25-year-aged balsamic from Modena, seasonal produce from Lancaster Farms, boutique coffee from Red Hook roastery Pipe and Tabor, and sourdough bread from She Wolf Bakery, another Marlow subsidiary. The shop primarily boasts the domestic and local, but also stocks international products so long as they are excellent.

Dashi Okume (50 Norman Ave)
The Brooklyn-based counterpart to Okume Shōten, a longtime Dashi retailer in Tokyo. Beyond their extensive dashi stock, miso, dried noodles, sauces, and teas are also sold.
Edy’s Grocer (136 Meserole Ave)
A Lebanese shop with prepared foods including mezze, salads, sandwiches, kebabs, and breakfast offerings, and dry goods such as spices, oil, couscous, nuts, and dried fruits.
Dépanneur (242 Wythe Ave)
Known for their sandwiches, Depanneur also offers teas, pickles, hot sauces, tinned fish, and olive oil. Right down the street from Wythe Hotel, the perfect destination for a few last minute gifts.

Edy's Grocer
136 Meserole Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222
On a residential corner of Greenpoint hangs a lemon. This lemon signifies that you have arrived at Edy's Grocer, a Lebanese cafe and market on the corner of Eckford and Mesarole. The eponymous Edy Massih stocks jarred spices, olive oils, tinned goods, Lebanese-produced cake mixes, sauces, pickles as well as ready-made dips, housemade baked goods, and delicious breakfast and lunch options. Sourced from many different small businesses, a lot of the products on the shelves of the shop are things that Edy grew up eating, plus new eye-catching Arab-owned brands from California, Michigan, and New York.
Edy’s is colorful and inviting with tables inside and out to sit and enjoy your procurements. Mint grows substantially next to Edy’s outdoor seating area, wafting its delightful smell in the direction of diners.
